Simple answers about using LymphAware ID.

This page answers common questions about LymphAware ID cards, QR-linked profiles, patient accounts and support.

Frequently asked questions

LymphAware ID is designed to remain straightforward and easy to use, including for people who are not confident with technology.

What happens when someone scans my card?

The QR code opens your LymphAware ID profile and displays only the information you have chosen to make available.

Does the person scanning my card need an account?

No. A valid QR-linked profile can be viewed without creating a LymphAware ID account or signing in.

Can I change the information on my profile?

Yes. In the Patient Portal you can review and manage the information you choose to share.

Can I see what other people will see?

Yes. The Patient Portal includes a preview so you can check what appears when your LymphAware ID QR code is scanned.

What if I lose my LymphAware ID card?

You can switch off your QR profile from the Patient Portal so a lost card no longer displays your profile information. You can reactivate the profile later and arrange a replacement card when needed.

What if I forget my password?

Select Forgotten password from the Sign In page. LymphAware ID will send a secure password-reset link to the email address connected with your account.

Is LymphAware ID a medical record?

No. Information in a LymphAware ID profile is entered and maintained by the member. LymphAware ID does not clinically verify or approve it, and the profile does not replace medical records, professional assessment or medical advice.

Do I have to share every piece of information?

No. Patient control is central to LymphAware ID. You choose which relevant information you want to make available.

Should I add my medication to my LymphAware ID profile?

No. Do not add medication names, doses, schedules or prescribing instructions. Keep medication information in your official medication list or medical records. LymphAware ID is designed to communicate your lymphoedema, practical needs and relevant considerations, not to act as a medication record.

Can I add an emergency contact?

Yes, but only add the person’s details after they have agreed to their name and telephone number being stored by LymphAware ID and displayed on your active QR profile. Please share our Emergency Contact Privacy Information with them.
